Social determinants of health ( poverty, income, social activity, social class, education, health literacy, discrimination, gender, race, ethnicity, language, minority, place of residence, immigration, religion, occupation, stress, addiction, food, access And the use of primary health services, urbanization, marginalization, violence, health care and social and lifestyle support) play a much larger role than biologic factors in human health and well-being.
Unfortunately, due to the fact that most of these factors are not understood and not converted to demand, they have been neglected. The mission of the Social Determinants of Health Research Center is to pay attention to these determinants, so as to contribute to community research by community engagement and the production of the knowledge needed to preserve and promote the general health of the community. In this regard, the Center research priorities are as follows:
